Weddington (27-2, 8-0)
The Warriors reached the 3rd round of the state playoffs in 2022-23 behind there 3 studs in KJ Younger, Grant Hamilton and Aidan Cook. 2-of-3 have graduated, however Younger, the 2023-24 UCHoops Player of the year returns. Younger (22.9 ppg/6.8 rpg/2.7 apg/1.9 spg/1.0 bpg/37% from 3) is a beast and every team on the schedule will have a hard time defending in 2024-25 due to his versatility. Senior wing Mason Zepp will be asked to score (4.0 ppg) more and rebound (2.9 rpg) than last season. Sophomores Quinn Vaughn and Jake Ford will rotate in the backcourt after seeing limited time as freshman. Senior wing Jaden Nnaji does all the little things needed on the court and will fill up a box score. Keep an eye on 6’4 sophomore wing Max Muteb and 6’1 sophomore guard Miles Vicks this season. Muteb brings more size and aggressiveness on the block and Vicks with his sold play going to the basket. The Warriors open the 2024-25 season hosting S. Meck on November 15th.
