The Yellow Jackets will have a new head coach in Garrett Malone on the bench. Malone was at Porter Ridge for the past six years. The Yellow Jackets will look to junior guard Armani Melton to lead them, again. Melton, (15.3 ppg/4.9 rpg/4.7 apg/2.0 spg/All-Rocky River) was named 2nd Team All-UCHoops will need help if the Yellow Jackets want to win the Rocky River Title. Junior Jahmarion Mingo will take some scoring burden from Melton. Mingo put up 11.0 ppg & 2.5 rpg last season. The Yellow Jackets will be rebuilding with an infusion of youth with 6'3 Sophomore Larry Parker, 6'3 freshman Landon Blakeney, 6'2 freshman Makhi Massey, and freshman Xze'Vion Brewer should be major contributors this year. The Yellow Jackets open the 2024-25 season hosting Indian Land on Dec. 3rd.
