2019-20: Played in 23 games, making 16 starts...Averaged 19.1 minutes per game...Also averaged 5.1 points per game, 1.1 rebounds per game, 1.0 assists per game and 0.6 steals per game. Scored a career high 17 points in 26 minutes in a 82-57 loss to College of Charleston.

2018-19: Played in 28 games making eight starts. Averaged 8.5 minuters per game...Shot 34.5 percent from the floor, 42.9 percent from long range and 75.0 percent from the foul line. Averaged 2.0 points per game...Was named to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Amanda finished her 4 year career at Sun Valley as the School's all-time leading scorer (1,694 points) and the schools all-time assist leader (443 assists). Amanda's 1694 points is 10th All-Time in Union Co. history and her 443 assists are 3rd all-time in Union Co. history.

As a senior at Sun Valley Amanda was named 1st team All-UnionCountyHoops and All-SCC after putting up 18.9 ppg, 2.6 apg and 3.3. rpg anmd 2.5 spg Helped lead the Spartans to a 11-16 record and into the playoffs.. Mrs Cherry scored a career high 34 points in a 73-54 win over Weddington. Scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 34-33 win over St. James HS.Amanda was named UnionCountyHoops.com's Player of the Week for week 14.

As a junior Amanda was the 2016-17 UnionCountyHoops.com's Player of the year. She finished the 2016-17 season tied for 3rd in Union Co. in scoring with a 15.4 ppg average and also led Union Co. in assists with a 6.1 per game average. Cherry alson grapped 5.6 rebounds per game and had 2.6 steals per game and blocked 1.0 shot per game. Amanda was named UnionCountyHoops.com's Player of the Week for weeks 6 & 8. Ms. Cherry helped lead the Sun Valley Spartans to a 18-8 record and a SCC title and into the 1st round 3A-state playoffs. Amanda was named 1st Team All-UCHOOPS for the 2nd year in a row.

As a sophomore Amanda put up 18.8 ppg and 4.5 apg along with 3.6 rpg and 2.9 spg. Helped lead the Spartans to a 14-13 record and into the playoffs. Had a season high 33 points in a 80-46 win over Anson Co. She was named 1st Team All-UCHOOPS and All-SCC. Scored a season high 33 points in a 80-46 win over Anson Co. Dished out a season high 9 assists in a 68-59 win over Providence.

As a freshman Amanda was good for 11.0 ppg and 2.2 rebounds per game. Amanda led Sun Valley with 4.1 assists per game along with 1.6 steals a game. Helped lead the Spartans to a 12-15 record and into the playoffs. In Amanda's 1st game ever she scored a season high 26 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and dished out 4 assits in a 67-52 win over East Meck. Amanda was named 2nd Team ALL-UCHOOPS and All-SCC as a freshman.
