The 2009-10 UnionCountyHoops.com’s Boys Player of the Year is Forest Hills Mark Clyburn.
Marc led the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets to a 25-4 record and to the 3rd round fo the state 2A playoffs. Marc led Union Co. in scoring with 16.2 ppg along with 11.5 rpg good for 2nd in Union. Co. Marc was also named All-unioncountyoops.com 1st team. Mark joinded the 1000 point club his senior year.
Mark would go on to play football at Wingate.

The 2008-09 UnionCountyHoops.com’s Girls Player of the Year is Porter Ridge's Britney Mitchell.
Britney led the Porter Ridge Lady Pirates to a 25-4 record and to the 3rd round fo the state 3A playoffs. This season was the best in school history! Britney finished 3rd in Union Co. in scoring with 18.4 ppg along with 7.6 rpg 2.4 apg and 3.6 spg. Britney was named All-unioncountyoops.com 1st team. Britney set a Porter Ridge record with 32 points in a game.
Britney would go on to play basketball at Wingate.
